Yamazaki Spanish oak = Yamazaki Sherry Cask
The Yamazaki Spanish oak were matured in casks crafted from specially selected oak from Northern Spain. Each cask too was used to age sherry prior to its use in the whisky maturation. Spanish oak casks typically produce malt whiskies with richer fragrances than those stored in American oak casks. The colour is of the whisky is very similar to the Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2016, beautiful deep reddish amber.
