The American Oak Single Tawny Cask was awarded the Best Whisky by Tasting Australia Award in 2020.
This bottle is one of the first Limited Edition released by Sullivans Cove in 2019. Unlike the standard American Oak Single Cask, which is aged in ex-bourbon barrels, this whisky was matured in an American oak cask previously used to age Australian tawny fortified wine. The resulting whisky was a hybrid of our French and American Oak styles, with the caramel and vanilla of American Oak combining with the rich fruit of fortified wine. This one is TD0283, no. 131of 211, distilled in 2008, bottled in 2019. A 11 year old beauty!

Long finish of coconut cream and apple pie sprinkled with sugar. Fortified wine notes of prunes, plum dates and toasted almonds.
